Get Ready for the Holidays With Our Thermage price reduction
The Thermage procedure is a new method for smoothing wrinkles and
tightening and lifting the skin on the face without surgery, chemicals, or needles. The Thermage Procedure is FDA approved for the
non-surgical treatment of facial wrinkles. Ideal candidates for the Thermage Procedure have thin or medium thickness skin, and
mild or moderate facial wrinkling. The procedure can also be used to treat areas of the face that are still loose after a
surgical facelift.
During the procedure, the treatment tip simultaneously heats and cools the skin. It emits radio frequency energy to heat the
collagen in the deeper layers of the skin, while protecting the top layers with a cooling spray. The heating action causes the
collagen in the skin to tighten immediately. In addition, over the next few months, the procedure stimulates the production of
new collagen, further enhancing the result.
The combined action of the immediate tightening of collagen and the production
of new collagen results in a tighter skin, improved skin texture, and a more youthful appearance. The optimum result is generally
achieved approximately three or four months following the procedure. The procedure can also be repeated to further enhance the
result.
The Thermage technique has recently been changed. We now use lower energy levels to make the procedure more comfortable, and
we treat the tissues multiple times using a faster treatment tip. This new treatment method produces a better cosmetic result
for patients.
We are pleased to announce that we are reducing the price of the Thermage procedure during October so that
more of our patients can benefit from this procedure prior to the year end holidays. Although the regular price of the Thermage
procedure is $2,750 for the face, tissues under the chin, and upper neck, during October we are reducing the price to $1,950.
In some physician offices, the Thermage procedure is performed by a nurse. However, in our office, the Thermage procedure is
performed only by highly trained and experienced board certified physicians.

Our Office is Expanding
By the first of October, we will have expanded our office into the space next door. We are expanding so that we can
offer more treatment options to our patients. By the end of the year, we will have obtained three new medical devices
to assist us in providing the best possible care to our patients.
Our first new laser is the Vbeam.
It is considered by many physicians around the world to be the gold
standard for the treatment of a wide variety of vascular skin conditions. Broken facial capillaries,
dilated facial veins, spider veins, unattractive scars, and stretch marks can all be nicely treated and
improved with the Vbeam laser.
The Fraxel SR Laser represents a new and revolutionary laser technology
for the treatment of age and sun spots, wrinkles around the eyes, and sun damaged skin. The Fraxel
laser just became available in April of 2004, and Dr. Amerian will be among the first dermatologists
in Southern California to obtain this laser and make it available to her patients.
The VelaSmooth Device for skin and cellulite gives patients the ability to have their cellulite treated with a light
based technology. This newly developed instrument provides patients with a new option for improving
what historically has been a very difficult problem to treat. Patients who believe they would benefit
