Eyelid Fraxel

Who Is It For

Eyelid Fraxel is intended for patients who have developed mild to moderate laxity and crepiness of the skin of the upper and lower eyelids. The procedure tightens and rejuvenates the skin of the eyelids in a non-surgical manner.

How It Works

The Fraxel laser utilizes Fractional Resurfacing Technology. The laser delivers a series of closely spaced laser spots to the skin while preserving normal healthy skin between the laser spots. The laser treatment stimulates the production of new collagen and promotes tissue tightening. In addition, the preservation of normal skin between the laser spots results in rapid healing after the treatment.

Fraxel laser resurfacing is generally done as a series of four or five treatments given at monthly intervals. The eyelid treatment is generally done in conjunction with Fraxel laser treatment of the face.

Results

Fraxel laser resurfacing of the upper and lower eyelids reduces skin crepiness, softens lines and wrinkles, and produces an overall skin rejuvenation effect. The procedure has minimal or no downtime. After completing their treatments, patients can reliably expect the skin to look more youthful and rejuvenated. In addition, because the improvement in the skin results from the laser stimulating new production of the patient’s own collagen, the improvement is long lasting and should persist for years. Fraxel laser eyelid treatment may be done alone or it may be combined with Botox and dermal fillers to further enhance the result.
