Intense Pulsed Light Rejuvenation FotoFacial™

Who Is It For

This procedure is a non-surgical, non-ablative approach to the treatment of rosacea, broken capillaries, and brown spots. Commonly treated areas are the face, neck, chest, arms, hands and legs.

How It Works

Using the newest generation of technology, this procedure emits controlled intense pulses of light to the upper layers of the skin while at the same time delivering beneficial thermal energy to the deeper layers.

In many physicians offices this procedure is performed by a nurse. However, in our practice, we offer the option of having this procedure performed by a board-certified physician.

Results

Depending on the severity and area of discoloration, generally three to six treatments are given. After completing the treatment program, patients exhibit smoother, softer, more uniform, and more youthful appearing skin. Patients may quickly return to their normal activities after each session.

Still Not Sure? — Read our Q & A

  1. What is the FotoFacial used for?

The FotoFacial is used to reduce the signs of aging. FotoFacial treatments reduce the red spots, brown pigmentation, irregular discoloration, and broken blood vessels that give a more aged appearance to the skin. This results in a revitalized more youthful appearing skin.

  2. What areas of the body can be treated with the FotoFacial?

Although any area of the body can be treated with the FotoFacial, the treatments are most commonly done on the face, neck, chest, and hands.

  3. Who performs the FotoFacial treatment?

Unlike many other physician offices, in our office only board certified highly experienced physicians perform the FotoFacial treatment.

  4. How many FotoFacial treatments will I need?

Most patients will need 4-5 treatments. These are usually performed at three to four week intervals.

  5. How do I decide whether my skin would be better treated with a series of FotoFacial treatments (also known as intense pulsed light) or a series of Vbeam treatments?

If your face is both red and brown, then choose the FotoFacial series. If your face is red but not brown, then choose the Vbeam series. Dr. Amerian and Dr. Anterasian will be happy to evaluate your skin and make a recommendation.
