Off-Face Fraxel Laser Resurfacing

By now, most of our patients have become very familiar with Fraxel laser resurfacing of the face. Introduced in 2004 and now in its second generation, the Fraxel laser has become the gold standard for no or minimal downtime laser skin resurfacing. After a series of Fraxel laser treatments to the face, patients can reliably expect their skin to show improvement in fine lines, brown spots, acne scars, facial scars, and overall skin texture.
However, you may not be aware that the Fraxel laser is increasingly being used for skin rejuvenation in locations other than the face. In recent months, many of our patients have come to the office requesting rejuvenation of the skin of their neck and chest; other patients have requested rejuvenation of their hands and arms. As a result, we are now using the Fraxel laser to rejuvenate the skin in these off-face locations.
